This is a landmark of Ghana with a rich history. According to history, the Boti waterfall is a twin waterfall, in particular male and female, which represents the upper and lower waterfalls. Mole National Park
Mole National Park, located in the northern part of Ghana, is a habitat for endangered species such as elephants, roan antelope and several rare birds. Since the area of this national park is 4,840 square kilometers, it is one of the most suitable places to visit if you want to explore nature. This is the first park that has been reserved by Ghana for wildlife conservation. It protects more than 300 species of birds, 94 mammals and several other wild animals.


Waterfalls of Vli
In the Volta region of Ghana, a 5-hour drive from Accra, you can find the Agumatsa Waterfalls, also known as the Vli Waterfalls. The Vli Waterfall is recognized as the highest waterfall in Ghana and West Africa, which makes it a major tourist attraction. You will find plenty of entertainment when you visit the Vli Waterfalls. Lake Bosomtve
There are many tourist sites in the Ashanti region of Ghana that attract thousands of tourists. In Kumasi, the capital of the region, you can find the only natural lake in Ghana, Lake Bosomtwe. The lake has an area of about 49 square kilometers and a depth of 70-74 meters. Mountains surround the lake, and it serves as a habitat for various species of fish. They say that the lake was formed when a meteorite fell on the city.
Larabanga Mosque
The Larabanga Mosque is the oldest in Ghana and it is located in the northern region of Ghana. It was built in 1421 and is usually referred to as the “Mecca of West Africa”. The mosque was inspired by the Sudanese architectural style and built of clay and sticks. Due to its rich history, it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Ghana. About 300 years ago, before the death of Okomfo Anokye, he plunged his sword into the ground and declared that no one could take it out. So far, no one has succeeded, despite numerous attempts.

Asher Fort Museum
The Dutch built Fort Asher in 1649 in Accra, but its former name was Fort Krevekr. This is one of three forts that were built by Europeans for trade back in the 17th century. The fort became a prison for enslaved people until 1993. Today the fort is used as a museum.
Elmina Castle
St. George’s Castle is a tourist attraction located in the Central region of Ghana. It is commonly known as Elmina Castle. It can be found along the coast if you drive from Accra to the Central Region. When Europeans came to Ghana, it was the first European structure that they built back in 1482 to trade gold and other natural resources. It took the Portuguese two years to build the castle, completing it in 1486. Although the castle was originally built for the gold trade, it later became the center of the slave trade in Ghana. When you decide to visit this place, you will witness the history of the slave trade in the country and its impact on people at that time.


Cape Coast Castle
Another popular tourist destination in Ghana is another castle, Cape Coast Castle. The Portuguese built this castle on top, like Elmina Castle, but this one was erected in 1555. The castle was built for the precious gold trade, but later was also used for slavery. At that time, Ghana was called the Gold Coast because gold was everywhere in the country. This is what attracted the Portuguese here, and later the British. Cape Coast Castle is one of the places to visit in the Central Region.

You can go to the “Door of No Return”, which is one of the features of the castle with an interesting history. It is believed that through this door the colonial masters transported enslaved people from the castle to the ships. Not a single enslaved person returned alive after that.
