Spain – a journey to a wonderland

Spain is called a “wonderland”. And all because nature itself created this fairy tale on the seashore; there is something to see and where to go for adventures. Not only for adults but also the youngest travelers.

Why Spain?

Firstly, because of the beauty of nature, the blue sea, the golden sand, warmed by the gentle sun. Secondly, due to the favorable climate, to which children adapt quickly, and the duration of the holiday season – from April to October, Spain is happy to welcome its guests and please them with the weather. The third argument in favor of wonderland is the combination of a beach holiday with a rich program of excursions and adventures.

Let’s start with the adventures

Because it’s interesting, bright and always positive. Let’s start with one of the most picturesque coasts and the main places of adventure – the Costa Dorada. There are many families with children who come here for clean and invigorating sea air, warm and shallow sea, golden sand beaches, and the opportunity to arrange the most real adventures, the benefit of active recreation options for families with children here are many. Judge for yourself.

Universal Studio Port Aventura

It’s not just a theme park. This is the second most famous and largest amusement park, which is divided into thematic zones, each of which is fascinating. Lovers of cowboy adventures will find activities in the thematic zone of the Wild West and Mexico; lovers of the East will like Chinese adventures; Polynesia and the Mediterranean offer their young guests a kaleidoscope of games and adventures. The ticket price is quite acceptable: about 44 euros for adult park guests and 35 euros for children.

Aquopolis

This water paradise is located in the resort center of La Pineda and offers kids’ play areas and a wide variety of water attractions. This is a real family park, and therefore its prices are quite affordable: about 22 euros is a ticket for an adult, 16 euros is a ticket for children from 4 to 10 years old; kids visit aquaponics for free.

Costa Brava is the second most popular tourist destination due to its affordable prices and the beauty of nature. This coast of Catalonia is known for its silence, small coves overgrown with pine trees, and beautiful sandy beaches. If desired, you can retire here and spend a wonderful family vacation. However, lovers of outdoor recreation will also find something to do here.

Marineland, located near Santa Susanna, lives up to its name and is a water park with modern water attractions. In addition, here you can watch the animals of the mini-zoo and attend a show with feathered and four-legged artists. Ticket prices are democratic: an adult ticket will cost 20 euros, and discounts and promotions are provided for children of all ages.

Tibidabo Theme Park

Located near Barcelona, this amusement park will give a lot of emotions to preschoolers and school-age children who will be able to make an exciting journey into the future by visiting the Robot Museum and visiting a variety of shows and attractions.

Costa Blanca is another popular resort in Spain. It is warmer here than in other resorts in Spain, and therefore the water warms up earlier than on other coasts, which makes the Costa Blanca a priority destination for family holidays. Concerning entertainment, we note the following most interesting places:

Terra Mitica.

This large theme park of ancient and medieval history is divided into zones: Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Iberia, and the Mediterranean. Each of the thematic zones will appeal to history lovers and schoolchildren who can see firsthand everything they have heard about in history lessons.

Aqualandia

This is one of the most popular water parks on the Costa Blanca, where you can swing on large “Atlantic” waves, watch geysers, jump from water jumps, visit sea grottoes and caves, and swim in the pool with smart and kind sea lions. You can continue exploring the world of wildlife right there – there is a real zoo on the territory adjacent to the water park.

Costa del Sol, or “The Coast of the sun”. This name was given to the southernmost, and therefore the sunniest Mediterranean coast of Spain. Here travelers with children will find not only good beaches, a favorable climate, and excellent hotels, but also will be able to recharge positive for the whole year. For positive emotions, both adults and children can go to the Parque Acuatico Mijas water park and choose attractions suitable for their age and adrenaline needs.

Tenerife

This island of the Canary Archipelago is popular among tourists with children not only because of the favorable climate but also the opportunity to improve their health – pediatricians recommend this resort to those children who have been diagnosed with respiratory diseases and allergies in its various manifestations. In addition, there are many places in Tenerife where you just need to go with the whole family: in Loro Park, you will find a zoo, a garden, an aquarium, and a dolphinarium and you will be able to see a wide variety of parrots and attend a show with their participation.

Aquapark Octopus

This water amusement park, which is traditionally equipped with modern water attractions designed for guests of different ages, is considered the most impressive place on the island, and the dolphin shows that are regularly arranged here will be remembered by everyone.

Majorca

This is not just a place for a comfortable stay with children, but also an opportunity to participate in adventures: in the city of Palma Nova, we recommend visiting the Marineland amusement park and watching a show where the main characters are dolphins, seals, and parrots, after which you can go to capture a pirate galleon in the children’s corner. In the giant cave of Art, it is interesting to look at the paintings left on the walls by rain and wind.

About entertainment in general

Any city in wonderland meets its name and can offer tourists from young to old a lot of adventures. Andalusia boasts its amusement park “Tivoli”, where the spirit of the cowboy era reigns and every boy can feel like a hero of a western. In Barcelona, you can visit the aquarium (by the way, the largest in Europe), the zoo, and the huge Maremagnum shopping center, where everyone will find entertainment to their liking, ranging from movies in Imax format to shopping.

For schoolchildren, Barcelona will be interesting from the point of view of history and architecture, and Montserrat Mountain will surprise with its rocky columns. Music lovers can go to the monastery to hear ancient singing. Boys and their dads will enjoy playing at the Barcelona Football Club.

In any case, when planning your family itinerary in Spain, bet on a resort and a hotel, choosing 100% quality, service, and infrastructure for your family. Give preference to those hotels that have a children’s menu in the restaurant and children’s furniture in the rooms. It is good if the hotel is focused on family holidays – the presence of a playground on the territory of the hotel and a team of children’s animators can confirm this fact – all these platitudes will make the rest comfortable and fun.

You can always get to a noisy place of entertainment from the hotel. The main thing is to plan the route at home so that there are no disputes on vacation in the land of the golden sun and the azure sea.
