In southeast Asia, among the dense jungles lies the mysterious kingdom of Cambodia. For many years this place remained inaccessible to ordinary tourists, as only exceptionally brave travelers got here. Nowadays it is a popular holiday destination, attracting guests from around the world. In addition to a wonderful beach holiday, in Cambodia, you can visit ancient temples or take time to yourself in the spa.

The best resorts in Cambodia: are Sihanoukville, Kep, Koh Rong Samloem, Koh Russey, and Sun Neil islands.

Sihanoukville

In the past, Sihanoukville was a simple fishing village, and today it is a developed resort, where many tourists from America and Europe come to spend the winter.

The sandy beaches of Sihanoukville are beautiful and offer everything for a perfect vacation. The best beach in this city is considered to be Ochutel. Washed by the waters of the Gulf of Thailand, it is the longest beach in Cambodia. It is crowded, and fun, it is the most popular beach, and it is equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers. The cleanest is Sokha Beach, most of which belongs to the hotel of the same name. It is not difficult to get here by paying for the entrance to the hotel, for the same money tourists are given a beach towel and the opportunity to use the pool.

In Sihanoukville – the city of fishermen – you can find both lively beaches and secluded ones. Such places include Otres Beach, located on the outskirts and surrounded by coniferous trees. There are many entertainment venues, bars, discos, and casinos in the city.

Kep

The oldest resort in Cambodia is Kep. It is a small charming town surrounded by lush vegetation and hills. There are well-maintained roads and a very beautiful embankment.

There is only one beach here, it is municipal and therefore quite crowded on weekends. At the same time, the sand is clean, the sea is transparent, and there are not very many tourists on weekdays. You should try crabs here – blue Kepa crabs are considered the best in Cambodia.

Koh Rong Samloem

The largest and most popular island resort in Cambodia is Koh Rong. There are a lot of exotic-style hotels and a lot of tourists. Lovers of a more relaxing holiday prefer Koh Rong.

Koh Rong Sanloem, Preah Sihanouk, Cambodia

Samloem is a picturesque island with wildlife. A significant part of the island is occupied by impenetrable jungles, and there is also a herd of wild elephants.

Koh Rong Samloem Island is surrounded by coral reefs that protect the lagoon from waves and predators. The season here lasts from mid-November to early May. Along the east coast stretches a series of hotels, most of the bungalow type, and on the west coast, there is a wonderful Lazy beach, lying on which you can watch the incredible beauty of sunsets. Saracen Bay, which washes the island, is ideal for snorkeling and diving.

Koh Russey

Bamboo Island, or Koh Russey, is a small island in the Gulf of Thailand, shaped like a crescent moon, with untouched nature and clear water. At night, plankton glows in the waters of the bay – a memorable sight. The island itself is no more than a kilometer long, but here guests can find cute bungalows and authentic restaurants.

Koh Russey is a secluded paradise for relaxation in isolation from civilization and the hustle and bustle. The seabed, rich in flora and fauna, will appeal to lovers of scuba diving. There are no bars and discos here, so you will have to look for noisy parties elsewhere, and it makes sense to come here for a relaxing holiday away from civilization. Gazebos and hammocks are hanging on the beach for relaxation.

Sun Neil

The magical island of Sun Neil conquers everyone who gets here. There is a unique atmosphere of peace here. Snow-white beaches are equipped with gazebos for relaxation. Right on the coast, there is a good restaurant serving seafood and good wine, and if you wish, you can take a fishing rod and ask the chef to cook the fish you have freshly caught. There are romantic bungalows for living here, and you can get to the island by boat.
Vacation in Cambodia for real adventurers. There are no “promoted” resorts in this country, which is why it is so interesting and curious to come here and see with your own eyes another world unlike anything else!
